Building Features and safeguards
Signage - the university has implemented a "Stay Safe" program that provides signs and graphical tools promoting social distancing and indicating what activities are allowed inside facilities as well as throughout exterior campus spaces.
Cleaning - In addition to routine cleaning, the university has implemented enhanced cleaning and disinfection of common areas and commonly touched surfaces in occupied buildings. High-touch surfaces are cleaned at least once daily, five days a week, using EPA-registered disinfectants.
Ventilation - Building mechanical ventilation systems are inspected, maintained, and operated to meet code required outside air ventilation rates when buildings are occupied. Daily HVAC operating schedules are extended pre- and post-occupancy hours for additional outdoor air exchange within the building.
Air filtration - Air filtration is optimized to provide the greatest Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value (MERV) rating possible based on the specific air handler capabilities and industry recommendations
Hand Sanitizers - In addition to normal handwashing facilities in restrooms and break areas, hand sanitizing stations have been installed at the main building entrance and select other locations.
Plumbing - Campus and building domestic water systems are flushed and inspected regularly.
